Websites:
First Grade Interactive Math Skill Builders- Graphing.
This website is great because it provides kids with 9 different graphing activities. Some are games, some are interactive lessons with questions built in, and some allow you to make your own graphs. My personal favorite activities are numbers 3, 5, and 6. Activity 3 is shown in the picture. This website can be accessed at http://www.internet4classrooms.com/skill_builders/graphing_math_first_1st_grade.htm.

Tally Charts and Bar Graphs.
This website is great because it is an interactive movie about how to create tally charts and picture graphs. Students will review how to survey and how to tally. They will also review how to take data from a tally chart to a bar graph. I love this site for its fun and appropriate language. This website can be accessed at http://www.brainpopjr.com/math/data/tallychartsandbargraphs/grownups.weml.

Ice Cream Graphing.
I like this website because it causes students to think about graphing before they actually do it. While students must complete a pie graph before getting to the bar graph, the pie graph can challenge students who are bored with just bar graphing. The students should be able to get the hang of the meaning of the pie graph activity because they only need to label the sections of the pie graph. Each time they do the activity the numbers change so it doesn't get too repetitive. This website can be accessed at http://mrnussbaum.com/graphing/.

At This Station Kids Will... interact with websites about graphing. The websites should be bookmarked before the students get to the station so they can easily navigate between screens if they want to switch websites. Each site has a different form of practice or review about graphing and you should encourage students to visit each site.
Differentiation: This station is differentiated in that students who struggle with reading or speaking English can both read and hear most directions and passages in the websites. Students who need a challenge can try to figure out bar graphs in the third website and try some of the other activities on the first website.
Formative Assessment: While walking around the stations you should see students interacting with the games and activities on the websites. There should not be any conversation at the station.
